Need a convention distraction? Read an update from the Greenwald campaign!
By Erin Seidler Tired of hearing the same convention speech over and over? Do you hear the female announcer’s voice in your dreams? Are you now able to recite Senator Obama’s biography word for word? (Did you know his grandparents are from Kansas?) The Becky Greenwald for Congress campaign thought we would provide you with a campaign update and a little distraction from the DNC convention in your inbox. In all seriousness, we have some great updates to share with you. The Greenwald campaign is continuing to show strength and momentum as we head into the home stretch. This week, the campaign reached over 1,000 individual donors to the campaign. In fact out of all the 1,067 donors to the campaign, 1,015 are Iowans and over 70% gave $100 or less. This is truly becoming a grassroots movement to bring a real difference to the 4th District. In fact, the Greenwald campaign now has raised more money from Iowans than Congressman Loebsack raised his entire campaign in 2006. And, we are closing in on Congressman Braley’s Iowa money from 2006 as well. The campaign also finished in the top three this week in the Progressive Patriot PAC’s House Challenger Contest. Not only will we get a donation from the PAC, but also their staff said they have never seen such an organized effort to get votes from the top three finishers. More updates from the campaign to come and look out for our caption contest next week. Now back to the speeches! By Erin Seidler Tired of hearing the same convention speech over and over?
