Fair Elections through Public Funding - A Presentation and Discussion
By PCCI Our country would be a better place if we got big money out of politics - public funding of elections will make that happen. Please join Americans for Campaign Reform for an informative discussion on how the connection between money and politics can be reformed through public funding of elections to make politics more responsive to voters. The event will focus on the current debate surrounding campaign finance reform and recent initiatives at the national level, with special attention on how Iowa voters can make a difference in making public funding of elections a reality. Your input and perspective on Iowa grassroots strategies is very important and is a critical component in moving this issue to the top of the political agenda. We need your involvement! WHAT: Fair Elections through Public Funding - A Presentation and Discussion WHEN: Monday, August 20th, 5:30 - 7:00 PM WHERE: Des Moines Pubic Library, 1000 Grand Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa RSVP: Please call us at (603) 227-0626 or send an e-mail message to iowa@just6dollars.org. |
