Job Opening: Constituency Organizer with Fallon for Governor


The Fallon for Governor campaign is hiring a Constituency Organizer who will be responsible for outreach to an array of constituencies including, but not limited to:  minority, GLBT, labor, environmental, rural/family farm, religious, education, criminal justice and peace communities.

Organizer responsibilities will include:  

1) promote the Fallon candidacy within targeted constituency communities,

2) identify Fallon supporters and build networks of support within the constituency communities,

3) fundraise within the constituency communities, and;         

4) coordinate constituency organizing with the other organizing components of the Fallon campaign.

Qualifications:

1)      Experience with grassroots election work preferred but not required;

2)      Experience in working with diverse groups of people and organizations;

3)      Computer literate;

4)      Detail oriented and exceptionally well organized;

5)      Motivated by progressive issues and values;

6)      Ability to work evenings and Saturdays and put in 50 plus hour weeks as needed;

7)      Strong phone skills a plus, and;

8)      Spanish speaking a big plus.

Salary and benefits:

1.      $1,200 monthly salary, plus up to $300 toward health care stipend.

2.      Work with candidate, staff and volunteers passionately committed to electing a true progressive as Iowa’s next governor.

3.      Learn many facets of running a true statewide, grass-roots campaign.
