15th Anniversary Iowa Women's Music Festival
By Lisa Schreihart Hi all! Announcing the 15th Anniversary Iowa Womens Music Festival, September 20, 2008! Please help spread the word, far and wide! Word of mouth is worth so much. Please forward to friends! This is a state-wide event and we get attendees from the bordering states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Illinois, as well as other out of towners. Everyone is welcome! JUST THE FACTS: 15TH ANNIVERSARY IOWA WOMENS MUSIC FESTIVAL Saturday, September 20, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (NOTE EARLIER START TIME!) Upper City Park (Dubuque Rd. & Park St.), Iowa City Featuring: Patrice Pike, Ferron, Zoƫ Lewis, Ubaka Hill, BeJae Fleming Band, Deidre McCalla, Diva Kai, Rachel Garlin, and special guest emcee Kim-Char Meredith FREE to attend; everyone welcome; pets allowed. Food, merchandise, and crafts vendors will line the festival. A live auction will also be held. Bring lawn chairs or blankets for grass seating. Rain location (same date): Chauncey Swan Parking Ramp, Gilbert & Washington Streets, Iowa City.
