
In order to enhance your convention viewing pleasure, I have placed a white X where Iowa will be seated. Near the top of the blurry graphic (sorry about that), directly above the Iowa delegation and slightly to the left, there is a cream-colored curved shape. That is the stage.

According to the New York Times, "Democratic Party rules say [the] delegates should cast their convention vote 'in all good conscience (to) reflect the sentiments of those who elected them.' However, they aren't bound to vote for any candidate at the convention. That means delegates for the dropouts -- or even Kerry -- are free to support someone else, regardless of whether their candidate has released them."
