Great Idea – Sara Sedlacek Helps Food Bank

Sara Sedlacek is pictured above with Louisa County Auditor candidate Sandi Elliot (middle) and Louisa County Supervisor Paula Buckman (right) with donations for the Columbus Junction Food Bank

A couple of weeks ago the Sara Sedlacek campaign came up with a great idea. Sara is the Democratic candidate for the Iowa House for district 88. District 88 includes most of rural Muscatine County, all of Louisa County and rural Des Moines County in eastern Iowa. It is a physically large district and like many mostly rural districts the economy has seen better days.

One of Sedlacek’s main goals if elected is to greatly improve the economic conditions in her district. But that is in the future and help is needed today. So she came up with a great idea for her campaign. She conducted a food and school supply drive in conjunction with the opening of her campaign office in Columbus Junction.

The opening /food drive was quite successful with over 30 people attending and bringing much needed food and school supplies.

I hope she has started a concept that will catch on!. Thanks, Sara
