BFIA takes a RAGBRAI Day

BFIA RAGBRAI Day

CLUTIER, Iowa— Trish Nelson, editor of Blog for Iowa, took today to be dropped off in a small Tama County town to bicycle 52.2 miles to Cedar Rapids as part of RAGBRAI.

From the web site: “RAGBRAI, The Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa, is an annual seven-day bicycle ride across the state.  Heading into its 40th year, RAGBRAI is the oldest, largest and longest bicycle touring event in the world.  Des Moines Register Media has been the title sponsor of RAGBRAI since 1973.”

Those of us who remember Donald Kaul and John Karras in the first RAGBRAI are showing our age. Trish has been riding RAGBRAI for many years, and her green T-shirt is from RAGBRAI #11. She will return to BFIA for more posts soon.
