Sign On For Iowa Health Care Summit

We Can’t Wait: Iowa’s Nonpartisan Health Care Summit

Sign the Petition

To be delivered to:   The Iowa State House, The Iowa State Senate, and Governor Terry Branstad

I support the call for Iowa’s Nonpartisan Health Care Summit. I ask the Governor and legislative leaders to come together regardless of party or position, and join Iowa’s health care stakeholders in a day-long discussion about the next steps Iowa should take to make our health care system work better for consumers and taxpayers.

The Supreme Court decision is not the last word in Iowa’s health care debate. It is now more urgent than ever that state leaders step in and provide bipartisan direction.

Topics could include: implementing a health insurance exchange; whether to maintain Medicaid waiver programs; electronic medical records; and other important health care issues.

When it comes to getting Iowans the health care they need in the highest-quality, most affordable way, there is no room for delay, if we intend to seize the opportunity to build on the bipartisan success of the past five years in health care reform and truly become “The Healthiest State.”

If Iowans are to get the health care we need in the highest-quality, most affordable way, there is no time for delay. It’s time to move forward. Let’s build on the bipartisan success of the past five years and truly become “The Healthiest State.” Support a nonpartisan health care summit bringing together stakeholders, policymakers and elected officials to discuss Iowa’s next steps.

We need 100 signatures, we’re already over half way there.  Click here to add your name.
