Health Care Reform Update:  A Bi-State Conversation on Health Care Reform

by Alta L. Price, M.D.

Last week’s health care reform update was all about Cover the Uninsured Week, March 22-28. At the end I promised more details about our local event:

Quad Cities Coming Together: What We Need in Health Care Reform

Saturday, March 28, 2009
Registration at 12:30 p.m. – Program 1–4 p.m.
Augustana College, Olin Hall

Share your ideas about meaningful and measurable changes for Health Care in America!

 - Moderator – Aaron Buchko, Ph.D. (Bradley University)
 - Small group discussions
 - Trained facilitators
 - Grassroots – Quad Cities experience and needs
 - Direct input to Washington
 - Broad range of community sponsors

If you are in the Quad Cities area and would like to attend, we suggest advance registration to guarantee seating and materials. We aren’t quite ready to take online registrations. Check the Covertheuninsured.org website in a week or so for details on registration – we will list our event soon! Quad Cities Interfaith is also planning events for Cover the Uninsured Week, which should soon be posted at the same website. We hope you can join us at one of these events.
